What to Look For – Week 8 Running Backs

FRANK THE TANK: Miami running back FRANK GORE has 18,087 career scrimmage yards in his 14 NFL seasons.
With 104 scrimmage yards on Thursday at Houston (8:20 PM ET, FOX/NFL Network/Amazon Prime), Gore would surpass Pro Football Hall of Famer BARRY SANDERS (18,190) for the sixth-most scrimmage yards in league annals.

TOUCHDOWN TODD: Los Angeles Rams running back TODD GURLEY leads the NFL with 956 scrimmage yards and 14 touchdowns through the Rams’ first seven games this season. Gurley has scored at least two touchdowns in three consecutive games and in four total during the 2018 season.
With two touchdowns on Sunday against Green Bay (4:25 PM ET, FOX), Gurley can become the fifth player since 1970 to score multiple touchdowns in five of his team’s first eight games of a season. The other four players to accomplish the feat are all enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
