The trip to Canton, Ohio, by the Dallas Cowboys wasn’t a great journey for everyone.

Tight end John Phillips will have an MRI today to determine whether or not he tore the ACL in his right knee Sunday night in the Hall of Fame Game against the Cincinnati Bengals. According to Todd Archer of the Dallas Morning News, Phillips likely suffered the injury.

“I’m going to stay positive,” Phillips told Archer Sunday night.

The shame of it is Phillips had a terrific first half with four receptions for 60 yards and a couple nice blocks. He’d been pushing Martellus Bennett for playing time in camp.
