The Cowboys have apparently seen enough of B.W. Webb's abilities as a cornerback.
On Thursday, the organization announced that Webb has been waived. Webb was a fourth-round draft pick in 2013 and received some playing time on the 53-man roster a year ago.
As a corresponding roster move, the Cowboys brought back running back Phillip Tanner, though it's not expected that Tanner spends more than a week with the franchise.
Webb totaled 16 tackles a season ago, but became more known for having a Raiders fan swing a helmet at him during a joint practice in Oakland during a scuffle between the two teams.
A second-year player out of William & Mary, Webb could either be a 2014 practice squad candidate for Dallas or wind up on another team's 53-man roster.
