Arizona Cardinals inside linebacker Daryl Washington is headed to the league office in New York on Monday.
It's an effort to try to cut down or lift his four-game suspension for violating the NFL substance-abuse policy.
The odds of him being successful are low, though, and Washington isn't scheduled to meet with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, he told FOX Sports Arizona.
Washington also had a court appearance Tuesday where his suspicion of aggravated assault case was continued until October.
Washington is a talented player, but he obviously needs to address these off-field issues to be as successful as he could be and reach his full potential.
