INDIANAPOLIS—Rutgers offensive tackle Anthony Davis decided to forego his senior season and enter the NFL draft.

Some experts have labeled him as talented, but inconsistent. Thursday at the podium, Davis had a chance to address all of those concerns and more.

The 6’6”, 325-pound prospect—widely regarded as one of the best offensive tackles in the 2010 draft class—stepped up to the podium at Lucas Oil Stadium this afternoon and faced a swarm of questions from media members from around the country.

In regards to questions about his flashes of inconsistency, Davis responded, “I need to work on that. Get better, keep focusing and listen to coaches.”

When asked what a team would be getting if they drafted Davis: “A hard worker. Somebody that loves to play the game.”

And a hard worker is something that Davis will need to be over the next few months as he attempts to elevate his stock and silence his critics before April’s draft. Currently, NFP Director of College Scouting Wes Bunting has Davis going No. 9 overall to the Buffalo Bills in his latest mock draft.

But Davis has the skill set and athleticism to climb.

And that process will begin this week in Indy.
