Rookies are scheduled to report to training camp this afternoon at Lehigh University for the Philadelphia Eagles and there is a good chance Nate Allen, projected to be the team’s starting free safety, will be arriving on time.

Les Bowen of the Philadelphia Daily News reports that a deal with Allen’s agent Todd France could be completed in time. As expected, first-round draft pick Brandon Graham is not expected to be under contract and in on time.

There still aren’t many second-round deals done so that will complicate matter somewhat. Allen was going to have to compete for a starting job and then Marlin Jackson suffered a torn Achilles tendon in minicamp.
