The Detroit Lions worked ouf former New York Jets and Miami Dolphins cornerback Dimitri Patterson today.

Patterson was cut by the Jets after going absent without leave at the close of the preseason and missing a game.

Patterson, 30, was cut by the Dolphins before the start of free agency to save $5 million against the salary cap.

Patterson finished last season on injured reserve with a groin injury.

He was limited to six games last season.
