Eagles cut Kenny Phillips

The Philadelphia Eagles cut former New York Giants first-round safety Kenny Phillips.

Phillips has been bothered by a quadriceps injury.

For his career, Phillips has 263 tackles and eight interceptions after playing collegiately at the University of Miami.

The Eagles cut a dozen players today, including linebacker Jamar Chaney, tight end Derek Carrier, wide receiver Nick Miller, defensive tackle Eddie McClam, offensive tackle Nic Purcell, offensive lineman Isaac Remington, tight end Will Shaw, defensive tackle Daryell Walker, long snapper James Winchester, punter Brad Wing and waived-injured cornerback Eddie Whitley.
