The Philadelphia Eagles signed linebacker Mychal Kendricks to a four-year, $29 million contract extension. It includes $16.4 million guaranteed. Kendricks is a former second-round pick from Cal. The 24-year-old was the subject of trade rumors at one time, but coach Chip Kelly dismissed them. "Mychal Kendricks is not going anywhere," Kelly said Aug. 2. "You can write that down in ink, not pencil."
