Carolina Panthers Pro Bowl defensive end Greg Hardy's domestic violence jury trial was postponed until 2015.

The development likely means that Hardy won't play this season and that he'll never play for the Panthers again.

Hardy is on the commissioner's exempt list, a paid leave of absence.

He's accused of beating up his former girlfriend and threatening to kill her. Found guilty by a district judge, he appealed and was granted a jury trial.

“The District Attorney’s Office must now adjust the dockets in several courtrooms, affecting multiple cases that had been scheduled for the coming weeks,” the statement said. “These changes will affect the Domestic Violence Team’s cases scheduled for the week of Nov. 17. A number of matters must be continued.”
