Pittsburgh Steelers defender James Harrison said he doesn't believe his helmet-to-helmet hit that gave Cleveland Browns quarterback Colt McCoy a concussion last Thursday night warrants any punishment from Commissioner Roger Goodell.
"I don't think a suspension is worthy," Harrison told the Associated Press on Monday. "I don't think it's worthy of anything, but that's just my own personal thoughts."
But Adam Schefter, at halftime of the Monday night game between St. Louis and Seattle, speculated that Goodell could be facing a suspension as early as Tuesday.
Harrison leveled McCoy with a helmet-to-helmet hit as the quarterback was moving forward on a scramble and released the football a second before contact was made.
Harrison's status as a repeat offender with $150,000 in fines last season certainly will figure in the league's ruling regarding Harrison.
