Albert Haynesworth returned to practice on Thursday but his status for the Washington Redskins on Sunday night is unknown.
Haynesworth left the team for nearly a week following the death of his brother last week in Tennessee.
“Obviously, he went through a tough six days,” Redskins coach Mike Shanahan said, according to the Washington Post. “I had a good conversation with him. He practiced (Thursday), and he'll be a game-time decision, from our standpoint, where he's at, both mentally and physically. We'll make a decision right before the game.”
The practice wasn’t a full session. It was raining and the team opted to practice inside a hangar at Dulles International Airport. Haynesworth has not spoken to reporters. The Redskins face the Indianapolis Colts Sunday night.
