New York Jets wide receiver Santonio Holmes said he has no regrets regarding the way his 2011 season ended with a meltdown in Miami.
Holmes told the New York Daily News that he had no regrets regarding the way his season ended against the Dolphins. Asked if he had regrets, he said, "Why should I?'
Holmes was benched during the season finale for his behavior, and there were plenty of reports of a rift between him and quarterback Mark Sanchez. However, this off-season, the pair was working together in Orlando, Fla., in preparation for the Jets off-season program, which began on Monday.
Of the incident in Miami that led him to being benched with the Jets playoff hopes hangining the balance, Holmes said, "It happened down in Miami. And that's where it's going to stay. Down in Miami."
