The Jacksonville Jaguars were awarded linebacker Nate Stupar off waivers from the San Francisco 49ers.
They released offensive tackle DeMarcus Love.
Stupar was a seventh-round draft pick of the Oakland Raiders last year.
He has spent time on the practice squad for the Raiders, Philadelphia and San Francisco as a rookie. He made the 49ers roster this year and played in five games and totaled five special teams tackles.
Stupar was a four-year letterman at Penn State where he played in 52 games and was a three-time Academic All-Big Ten selection.
His uncle, Jeff Hostetler, is a retired NFL quarterback and his brother, Jonathan, played tight end for the Buffalo Bills.
