The New York Jets were awarded offensive tackle Wesley Johnson off waivers from the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Johnson is a former Vanderbilt standout.

He worked out before the draft for New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick.

The Jets are also signing cornerback Josh Thomas with Dee Milliner out for the season.
