The New York Jets are making the safety position a priority in free agency, says Rich Cimini of ESPNNewYork.com.
Cimini tweets that the Jets are looking at both Brandon Meriweather, who previously played at New England and Chicago, and also Washington Redskins free agent safety Laron Landry.
While the Jets are set at cornerback, they have been looking to make changes at safety and are wasting no time in trying to accomplish that mission.
