Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon is facing a suspension for one year after testing positive for alcohol, a league source confirmed.

ESPN first reported Gordon will be suspended.

"Clearly we are very disappointed to hear the latest report regarding Josh," the Browns said in a statement. "At this point, due to the confidential nature of the NFL’s substance abuse policy, we have not been made aware by the league of a failed test. We are in the process of gathering more information and will provide further comment at the appropriate time.”

Gordon was suspended for the first 10 games of last season for testing positive for marijuana.

Gordon was suspended for the last game of the season for violating team rules.

Gordon tested positive for marijuana at Baylor and Utah.

Gordon was ineffective after returning from his suspension with 24 catches for 303 yards and no touchdowns in five games last season.

He led the NFL with 1,646 yards in 2013.
