New York Jets safety Laron Landry said he wasn't celebrating over injured Buffalo Bills running back Fred Jackson, even though it appeared that way following his hit.
“I’m a passionate player,” Landry told the New York Post. “I play with emotion. I don’t wish any hurt on anybody. I’ve been through injury-prone seasons two years in a row. I would hate to see anyone go through that. I was playing with passion, I made a tackle, was happy about it and that was that. I give it all I’ve got and I leave it on the field.”
Jackson hurt his knee on the play and could miss several weeks as he recovers from the injury.
