The Seattle Seahawks have promoted linebacker Joe Pawelek to the 53-man roster from the practice squad.
Pawelek, an undrafted free agent from Bayor, takes the roster place of nose tackle Junior Siavii, who was placed on injured reserve on Thursday.
Siavii suffered a neck stinger in the Seahawks’ loss to the Atlanta Falcons at Qwest Field on Sunday. The determination was made he will not be able to return this season. Seattle remains alive in the helter skelter NFC West for the division title. Siavii played in all 14 games to this point, making six starts.
