Packers quarterback Matt Flynn will get the start Thursday against the Lions, the team announced Wedneday.
Starter Aaron Rodgers, who has a broken collarbone, will miss his fourth straight start. Flynn, who started a game for Oakland earlier this year and is now back where he was before leaving for Seattle via free agency last year, led the Packers back from a deficit last week to ultimately tie the Vikings 26-26 at the end of overtime.
Funny enough, the last time Flynn, as a Packer in 2011, faced the Lions, he torched them for 480 yards and six touchdowns.
Scott Tolzien will serve as Flynn's backup.
