Jaguars add 10 to practice squad, including QB Lee, CB Meeks
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — The Jacksonville Jaguars filled out their practice squad by signing 10 players they cut a day earlier.
The most notable additions Sunday were quarterback Tanner Lee, a sixth-round draft pick from Nebraska, undrafted rookie cornerback Quenton Meeks and running back Brandon Wilds.
The Jaguars also signed cornerback Dee Delaney, linebacker Nick DeLuca, tight end David Grinnage, defensive lineman Lyndon Johnson, receiver Allen Lazard, offensive lineman KC McDermott and safety C.J. Reavis to the 10-man squad.
Lee completed 15 of 30 passes for 201 yards in the preseason and was sacked five times. Lee was a two-year starter (2014-15) at Tulane before transferring to Nebraska and starting last year.
Meeks and fellow rookie Tre Herndon competed for the final cornerback spot on the 53-man roster, but Herndon got the nod.
Wilds carried 27 times for 125 yards and a touchdown in the preseason.
