Impressive young Atlanta Falcons defensive end Kroy Biermann doesn’t have the spending cash he thought he might in the holidays.
That is because the NFL has come after him for $15,000, the result of an illegal hit on Seattle Seahawks quarterback Charlie Whitehurst in the Falcons’ victory at Qwest Field last Sunday, according to Alex Marvez of FoxSports.com.
Biermann was penalized for roughing the passer and the league followed up with a substantial levy against Biermann. He can, of course, appeal the fine. Biermann has three sacks this season.
