Browns WR Amari Cooper clears concussion protocol

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper has cleared concussion protocol, making him available to play in Sunday’s home game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Cooper, 29, suffered the injury in last Sunday’s 36-19 loss to the Los Angeles Rams and returned to practice Friday before clearing protocol Saturday.

Cooper leads Browns wide receivers with 50 receptions for 799 yards and two touchdowns this season.

The Browns (7-5) have said they won’t decide before Sunday who Cooper’s quarterback will be, veteran Joe Flacco or rookie Dorian Thomspon-Robinson.

A four-time Pro Bowl selection, Cooper caught 78 passes for 1,160 yards and a career-high nine touchdowns in 17 starts during his first season with the Browns in 2022.

Cooper has 645 receptions for 9,035 yards and 57 touchdowns in 137 games (130 starts) with the then-Oakland Raiders (2015-18), Dallas Cowboys (2018-21) and Browns.
