Bucs CB Richard Sherman (hamstring) could miss time

Veteran cornerback Richard Sherman, playing in only his third game with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, suffered a hamstring injury Thursday night in Philadelphia that could keep him off the field for a while.

He recorded one tackle before exiting in the first quarter of the Buccaneers’ 28-22 win against the Eagles.

The NFL Network said Sherman will have an MRI on Friday and it “sounds like he’ll be out a couple weeks.”

Sherman, 33, made his Bucs debut against the New England Patriots on Oct. 3. The five-time Pro Bowl selection has 11 tackles and one fumble recovery this season.

The Tampa Bay secondary has been hard hit by injuries this season, with each member of the starting unit missing time. Cornerbacks Sean Murphy-Bunting (dislocated elbow) and Carlton Davis III (quad) are on injured reserve.
