Chargers add WR Mike Williams, CB Chris Harris to COVID list

The Los Angeles Chargers added wide receiver Mike Williams and Pro Bowl cornerback Chris Harris to the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday.

Williams joins Keenan Allen on the list, leaving the Chargers without their top two receivers. The two have combined for 1,783 yards receiving and 11 touchdowns.

The vaccination status of all three players will help determine whether they have a chance to play Sunday against the New York Giants (4-8). If Williams and Harris are unvaxxed, they would miss this week and next Thursday’s game, too.

Harris has an interception, two passes defensed and 26 tackles in nine games (seven starts) this season. He in his second year in Los Angeles after nine years in Denver, where he made the Pro Bowl four times.

The Chargers (7-5) are in second place in the AFC West.
