Colts’ Tyquan Lewis to miss rest of season; T.Y. Hilton out vs. Jets

Indianapolis Colts defensive end Tyquan Lewis will miss the remainder of the season due to a knee injury, coach Frank Reich announced Monday.

Lewis sustained the injury on Sunday during an interception return in the second quarter of the Colts’ 34-31 overtime loss to the Tennessee Titans. Lewis, however, lost the ball and suffered the injury after he pivoted awkwardly and fell to the field.

Wide receiver T.Y. Hilton sustained a concussion in Sunday’s game as well for the Colts (3-5). Reich confirmed Hilton will sit out Thursday’s game against the New York Jets (2-5).

Lewis, 26, recorded 14 tackles, 2.5 sacks and one interception in eight games (two starts) this season. He has 56 tackles and 8.5 sacks in 41 career games (12 starts) since being selected by the Colts in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft.

Hilton, 31, had two receptions for 16 yards on Sunday to boost his two-game season totals to six and 96, respectively.

Hilton has 614 catches for 9,456 yards and 50 touchdowns in 135 career games with the Colts. He made the Pro Bowl four straight years from 2014-17.
