Cowboys DE Demarcus Lawrence leaves practice with foot injury
Defensive end Demarcus Lawrence left Wednesday’s practice with an apparent foot injury and his availability for the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday is up in the air.
Facing Justin Herbert and the explosive Chargers without two starting defensive linemen is a realistic possibility for Dallas. Randy Gregory remains on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Lawrence was scheduled to meet with the media Wednesday afternoon, but the team canceled the session with medical tests planned to determine the nature and severity of the injury.
Lawrence was listed as limited in practice since he left the workout before it was over.
Including Week 1 at Tampa, the 29-year-old has 11.5 sacks in his last 33 games since posting 10.5 sacks in 2018 and 14.5 sacks in 2017.
