Cowboys tackles Martin, Erving out multiple games
Dallas Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy said tackles Zack Martin and Cam Erving both will miss multiple weeks with injuries suffered in Thursday’s loss to Washington.
Martin, the starting right tackle, has a calf injury. Erving, the starter on the left side, has a sprained MCL in his right knee.
Both players were hurt on the Cowboys’ opening drive of the game. Both went directly to the locker room, with Erving later returning to the sideline without his helmet.
Brandon Knight replaced Erving and Terence Steele, who started the first nine games at right tackle, took over for Martin.
The Cowboys fell to 3-8 with the 41-16 home loss to Washington, which moved into first place in the NFC East with a 4-7 record.
