Dolphins WR Parker, CBs Howard, Jones set for Patriots

The Miami Dolphins should be close to full strength in the secondary on Sunday at New England.

Cornerbacks Xavien Howard and Byron Jones are expected to play and wide receiver DeVante Parker was removed from the injury report Friday. All three are a go for the Dolphins in their Week 1 visit to face the Patriots.

Howard was bothered by a knee injury, while Jones has battled a sore Achilles after signing a five-year, $82.5 million free agent deal to join Miami in March.

Howard signed a five-year, $75.3 million extension with the Dolphins in 2019, but a knee injury required surgery and limited him to five games last season. The same knee kept him off the field for most of August and early September.

Parker tallied 1,202 yards and nine touchdowns in 2019, including eight catches for 137 yards in the regular-season finale to help the Dolphins beat the Patriots. In the first meeting between the teams last season, Parker was held without a catch on seven targets.
