Eagles RB Miles Sanders (hand) a go for playoff tilt vs. Bucs

Philadelphia Eagles running back Miles Sanders said his injured right hand is not a problem and that he will play in Sunday’s NFC wild-card game against the host Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Sanders fractured the hand against the New York Giants on Dec. 26 and underwent surgery the following day. He missed the final two games of the regular season but said he has no concerns about reinjuring the hand.

“I’m just going to try and protect it as much as I can, but I’m not going to be out there hesitant or timid,” Sanders told reporters on Friday. “It’s good enough to play. That’s all I know. It’s definitely good enough to play.”

Sanders was a full practice participant on Friday and Eagles coach Nick Sirianni liked what he saw.

“No limitations for Miles,” Sirianni said. “He’ll be our guy.”

Sanders rushed for 754 yards in the regular season, second on the team behind quarterback Jalen Hurts (784).

Defensive end Josh Sweat (illness) and guard Nate Herbig (ankle) are listed as questionable. Sweat’s 7.5 sacks are tied for the team lead with linemate Javon Hargrave.
