Jaguars WRs Chark, Johnson ruled out vs. Colts
Jacksonville Jaguars wide receivers D.J. Chark and rookie Collin Johnson have been ruled out for this weekend’s game at the Indianapolis Colts, the team announced Friday.
Chark, who is nursing a shin injury, has team-leading totals in catches (53) and receiving yards (706) in 13 games this season for the Jaguars (1-14). His five receiving touchdowns are tied for the club lead with Keelan Cole.
Chark, 24, made the Pro Bowl last season. He has 140 receptions for 1,888 yards and 13 scores in 39 career games since Jacksonville drafted the LSU product in the second round in 2018.
Johnson, who has an ailing hamstring, has 18 catches for 272 yards and two touchdowns in 14 games this season. The 23-year-old was selected by Jacksonville in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
Running back James Robinson (ankle) had already been ruled out for Sunday’s game.
The Jaguars’ lone win in 2020 came at the expense of Indianapolis. Jacksonville posted a 27-20 victory on Sept. 13.
