Lions release veteran CB Quinton Dunbar
The Detroit Lions released cornerback Quinton Dunbar and replaced him on the roster with running back Craig Reynolds on Wednesday.
The team signed Dunbar, 29, to a one-year free agent deal in April. He has missed much of training camp for what were described as personal reasons.
A six-year league veteran, Dunbar spent five seasons with the Washington Football Team and last season with the Seahawks. In Seattle, he played in six games, recording 30 tackles, five pass defenses and an interception.
He was placed on injured reserve in November due to a lingering knee injury.
Reynolds, 25, has limited NFL experience. In three games with Washington in 2019 and two games with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2020, he has once catch for three yards and ran the ball once for four yards.
