Packers place C Josh Myers on IR
The Green Bay Packers placed rookie center Josh Myers on injured reserve Saturday with a knee injury.
Myers, who was injured in the first quarter of last week’s win against the Chicago Bears, has started five games since being picked in the second round out of Ohio State.
The Packers (5-1) already had ruled Myers out of Sunday’s home game against the Washington Football Team (2-4). He will also have to miss games against the Arizona Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs before he is eligible to return.
Lucas Patrick, who replaced Myers at center last week, is expected to be the starter moving forward. Guard Ben Braden already was elevated from the practice squad.
