Packers place C Linsley (knee) on injured reserve

The Green Bay Packers (8-3) placed center Corey Linsley (knee) on injured reserve Saturday.

Linsley will now miss a minimum of three games after suffering the knee injury during the Packers’ 41-25 win over the Chicago Bears (5-6) on Nov. 29.

The 29-year-old had started 68 consecutive games before the Packers announced the roster move on Saturday.

The Green Bay offensive line has been excellent this season with Linsley at the helm, having allowed just 12 sacks in front of quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Left guard Elgton Jenkins will once again shift over to the center position, while Green Bay will utilize the rookie Jon Runyan at Jenkins’ left guard spot.

Green Bay hosts the Philadelphia Eagles (3-7-1) on Sunday at Lambeau Field.
