Quarterback Joe Flacco has agreed to a contract with the Philadelphia Eagles, his agents announced on Tuesday.

JL Sports took to Twitter to publicly congratulate Flacco, a former Super Bowl MVP and southern New Jersey native.

“Congratulations to our client @JoeFlacco on signing with the @Eagles #NextChapter,” JL Sports tweeted.

Multiple media outlets reported that Flacco is receiving a one-year deal with $3.5 million guaranteed. The contract could increase to $4 million more in incentives.

The Eagles traded Carson Wentz to the Indianapolis Colts, leaving 2020 second-round pick Jalen Hurts as the only signal-caller on the current roster.

Flacco, 36, lost all four of his starts with the New York Jets last season, completing 55.2 percent of his passes for 864 yards with six TDs and three picks.

Flacco was the No. 18 overall pick by the Baltimore Ravens in the 2008 NFL Draft. He was named Super Bowl MVP when the Ravens notched a 34-31 win over the San Francisco 49ers following the 2012 season.

After the emergence of quarterback Lamar Jackson, the Ravens traded Flacco to the Broncos before the 2019 season. He started eight games in Denver before a neck injury sidelined him the rest of the season. After the Broncos released him in the offseason, the Jets signed him to a one-year, $1.5 million contract.

Flacco has passed for 40,931 yards, 224 touchdowns and 144 interceptions in 176 career games.
