Raiders put DE Ferrell, DB Joyner on COVID-19 list
Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Clelin Ferrell and defensive back Lamarcus Joyner were placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday, making it four Raiders on the list, but it is unclear if they tested positive for COVID-19 or were in contact with someone who did.
NFL teams are prohibited from commenting on a player’s medical status other than whether he is on the roster, but it remains to be seen whether any of the players will be available for the pivotal AFC West game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night.
Left tackle Trent Brown and linebacker Cory Littleton already are on the COVID-19 list for the Raiders (6-3).
Players who test positive for coronavirus test are not eligible to play, but if any or all of the players were merely in “close contact,” five days with negative tests and no symptoms could get them back on the field by Sunday.
Ferrell, the No. 4 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, has 19 tackles, three tackles for loss, and seven quarterback hits, with Joyner posting 46 tackles this season. Littleton has made 48 tackles, including 31 unassisted, in eight starts this season.
