Rams put rookie S Fuller (shoulder) on IR
The Los Angeles Rams put starting safety Jordan Fuller on injured reserve Tuesday after the rookie re-injured his shoulder on the final defensive play of last week’s game.
Fuller can return after missing three games. He’ll be eligible to return Week 10 against Seattle. The Rams have a bye in Week 9.
Fuller started all four games he played in, missing Week 4 against the New York Giants with the injury. He returned against the Washington Football Team and played 100 percent of the defensive snaps, hurting himself on the final defensive play of the game.
Coach Sean McVay said Monday that it was more of a neck issue than shoulder and that Fuller “had a little stinger.”
Fuller had two passes defensed against Washington and four tackles, giving him 21 on the season.
The Rams took the 6-foot-2 Fuller in the sixth round of this year’s draft out of Ohio State.
The Rams did not immediately announce a corresponding move to their 53-man roster.
