Ravens elevate WR Bryant to active roster

The Ravens moved wide receiver Dez Bryant from the practice squad to the active roster, and he could appear in his first game in almost three years on Sunday when Baltimore hits the road to face the Indianapolis Colts.

Bryant last played on Dec. 31, 2017, as a member of the Dallas Cowboys. He was cut the following April and signed with the New Orleans Saints in November 2018 but suffered an Achilles injury before ever playing for the team.

Seeking a path back to the NFL, Bryant signed with the Ravens on Oct. 27.

“My emotions running high right now … I’m thankful … I can’t stop crying,” Bryant posted on Twitter that day.

The former first-team All-Pro reportedly, who turned 32 this week, turned down a multi-year offer from Baltimore in April 2018.

The Dallas Cowboys selected Bryant with the No. 24 overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, and he spent eight seasons there. He caught 531 passes for 7,459 yards and a franchise-best 73 touchdown receptions in 113 games with the Cowboys.

A productive Bryant would be a boost for the Ravens, who have the fewest receptions (117) and receiving yards (1,367) in the league.

Also Saturday, the Ravens moved WR Chris Moore to injured reserve. Moore missed the first six games of the season with finger and thigh injuries and made his 2020 debut last Sunday. He had been listed as doubtful because of the thigh issue.
