Ravens place WRs Brown, Boykin, Proche on reserve/COVID-19 list
The Baltimore Ravens placed receivers Marquise Brown, Miles Boykin and James Proche on the reserve/COVID-19 list on Wednesday, but they have not been ruled out of Sunday’s game against the Jaguars, according to coach John Harbaugh.
Brown, Boykin and Proche have not tested positive for the coronavirus. They were put on the list because as close contacts with someone who has tested positive, Harbaugh said.
If each player continues to test negative for the virus, they will be eligible to play on Sunday.
Brown, who is tied for the team lead with 43 catches and has a team-leading 605 receiving yards, scored a crucial touchdown in the Ravens’ 47-42 victory over Cleveland on Monday night.
Boykin has 16 receptions for 206 yards, while Proche is averaging 8.3 yards on 21 punt returns.
The move comes a day after the team activated receiver Dez Bryant was off the reserve/COVID-19 list. Bryant tested positive just hours before the team’s Week 13 game against Dallas. Bryant is eligible to play against the Jaguars.
If Brown and Boykin can’t play on Sunday, playing time would increase for Willie Snead IV (31 catches, 408 yards, three TDs this season) and rookie Devin Duvernay (19 catches, 201 yards).
