Ravens put backup QB McSorley (knee) on IR
The Baltimore Ravens put backup quarterback Trace McSorley on injured reserve Tuesday with a knee sprain, leaving Lamar Jackson as the only QB on the active roster.
With Robert Griffin III (hamstring) already on IR, practice squad and undrafted rookie Tyler Huntley is next in line to back up Jackson, barring a pickup by the Ravens.
McSorley was hurt in Monday night’s epic win over the Cleveland Browns. McSorley came on for most of the fourth quarter when Jackson came down with cramps and was injured with two minutes remaining in the game when his knee buckled on a scramble.
The play set up a fourth-and-5.
Jackson returned to the field to replace McSorley for the fourth-down play and threw a touchdown pass to a wide-open Marquise Brown, who finished the 44-yard play to put Baltimore ahead with 1:51 left.
McSorley completed one pass for 13 yards on four attempts.
Also Tuesday, the Ravens activated wide receiver Dez Bryant from the reserve/COVID-19 list. Bryant is expected to practice and play Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Bryant tested positive on Dec. 8.
