Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (ankle) inactive vs. Packers

The Baltimore Ravens declared quarterback Lamar Jackson inactive for Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers.

Backup Tyler Huntley will make his second career start.

Jackson suffered an ankle sprain in last week’s loss to the Cleveland Browns and had been listed as questionable for the game against the Packers. This will mark the first NFL start Jackson has missed because of injury in nearly four seasons.

Jackson, the 2019 NFL MVP, did not return to the game against the Browns after moving to the sideline under his own power and being carted to the locker room.

Huntley started in place of an ill Jackson in a 16-13 win over the Chicago Bears in Week 11. He replaced Jackson in the 24-22 loss to the Browns and completed 27 of 38 passes for 270 yards and a touchdown, with no interceptions.

The Ravens (8-5) also will be without cornerback Jimmy Smith when they host the Packers (10-3). Smith was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Sunday morning. Wide receiver Sammy Watkins and cornerback Chris Westry went on the reserve/COVID-19 list Saturday.
