Ravens QB Trace McSorley (back) to miss rest of preseason

Baltimore Ravens backup quarterback Trace McSorley will miss the rest of the preseason with a back injury.

McSorley is in a battle with Tyler Huntley to be the primary backup to Lamar Jackson.

Ravens coach Jim Harbaugh said Monday that McSorley wrenched his back picking up a box prior to Saturday’s preseason game against the New Orleans Saints. McSorley did play, going 11-for-18 for 86 yards and an interception. He also rushed four times for 25 yards.

The Ravens drafted McSorley in the sixth round of the 2019 draft.

Against the Saints, Huntley was 12-for-16 for 79 yards. He ran seven times for 43 yards and a touchdown.

The Ravens signed Huntley, undrafted out of Utah in 2020, to the practice squad last year.

The team also re-signed QB Kenji Bahar, who was with the Ravens during rookie minicamp this spring and released in June, then signed again in July and released earlier this month.
