Report: Bears G Daniels (pectoral) out for season

Chicago Bears left guard James Daniels will reportedly miss the rest of the season with a torn pectoral muscle sustained Thursday.

Daniels was injured in Chicago’s win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

NFL Network first reported the results of Daniels’ MRI exam.

Daniels, 23, has started 31 consecutive games and played in all 37 contests since the Bears drafted him in the second round (39th overall) in 2018. He played every single snap for Chicago during the 2019 season.

Daniels left Thursday’s 20-19 victory at Soldier Field in the third quarter and did not return. He was replaced by second-year lineman Alex Bars, undrafted out of Notre Dame in 2019.
