Report: DT Harrison visiting Seahawks, Packers
Former All-Pro defensive tackle Damon Harrison is visiting the Seattle Seahawks on Tuesday and the Green Bay Packers on Wednesday, ESPN reported.
The 31-year-old free agent started 15 games for the Detroit Lions last season, registering 49 tackles, three passes defensed and two sacks. The Lions released him in February.
Last December, he told the NFL Network that he was considering retirement.
“At this point everything’s on the table,” he said. “My mind’s still telling me I can do it, but my body’s just not there.”
Harrison was a first-team All-Pro selection with the New York Giants in 2016 and has played in 117 games (111 starts) with the New York Jets (2012-15), Giants (2016-18) and Lions (2018-19). He has 485 tackles, 37 tackles for loss and 11 sacks.
Green Bay defensive coordinator Mike Pettine held that same position with the Jets from 2009-12, overlapping with Harrison for one season in New York.
