Report: Eagles TE Tyree Jackson has torn ACL
Philadelphia Eagles tight end Tyree Jackson came out of Saturday’s regular-season finale with a torn anterior cruciate ligament, NFL Network reported.
Jackson, 24, had the first three catches of his career for 22 yards in Sunday’s 51-26 defeat to the Dallas Cowboys. His 3-yard touchdown catch in the first quarter was both the first catch and TD of his career. He left the game in the fourth quarter with his injury.
A former quarterback in college at Buffalo from 2016-18, Jackson is reinventing himself as a tight end.
Jackson is expected to miss practice time in the spring and summer, but could be ready to return to the field once next season begins.
The Eagles finished this regular season 9-8 and have clinched a playoff berth.
