Report: Giant’s Sam Beal pleads guilty on gun charges
New York Giants cornerback Sam Beal, a former third-round supplemental draft pick in 2018, has pled guilty to two separate gun charges in Ohio, according to multiple reports.
The charges came from a June 2020 arrest in the Cleveland area. According to court records, Beal, 24, carried a concealed weapon, improperly handled a firearm and possessed marijuana.
Beal’s alleged indiscretions led to a plea deal, in which he entered a diversion program and has been put on probation for two years.
For his career, Beal has totaled just one pass defended, one safety and 26 total tackles, with no interceptions in six games played (three starts), all of which came in 2019.
Beal opted out of competition in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
