Report: Raiders put injured rookie Arnette on COVID reserve

The Las Vegas Raiders put injured rookie cornerback Damon Arnette on the Reserve/COVID-19 list, NFL Network reported Monday.

Arnette was put on injured reserve on Oct. 2 after thumb surgery and expected to miss at least six weeks. Placement on the COVID list means Arnette either has tested positive for coronavirus or been exposed to someone who has it.

Raiders DT Maurice Hurst is also on the COVID list, but the team believes no one else has tested positive, per the report. Arnette has not been at the Raiders’ facility since the team’s Week 6 bye week. The Raiders play host to Tampa Bay on Sunday night.

Arnette, the 2020 19th overall pick out of Ohio State, had 13 tackles in three games for Las Vegas. He initially hurt the thumb during training camp.
