Report: Ravens fear ACL tear for LB L.J. Fort
The Baltimore Ravens fear linebacker L.J. Fort suffered a season-ending ACL tear during Saturday night’s preseason win at Carolina, The Athletic reported Sunday.
The 31-year-old veteran exited the game in the second quarter and did not return.
“I think (his knee) got stuck in that astroturf out there, unfortunately,” head coach John Harbaugh said after his team’s 20-3 defeat of the Panthers in Charlotte, N.C. “So, we’ll get final word probably with an MRI, but L.J. has been playing great, practicing great. So it’s going to be an unfortunate injury for him, if that’s where it turns out to be.”
Fort has played in 26 games (16 starts) since joining the Ravens in 2019, registering 53 tackles with two sacks and two fumble recoveries.
He has 173 tackles, five sacks and one interception in 91 career games (19 starts) with the Cleveland Browns (2012), Seattle Seahawks (2014), Pittsburgh Steelers (2015-18), Philadelphia Eagles (2019) and Ravens.
