Report: Ravens QB Jackson expected to return vs. Cowboys

The Baltimore Ravens are expected to activate quarterback Lamar Jackson from the reserve/COVID-19 list in time to start Tuesday’s home game against the Dallas Cowboys, according to NFL Network.

The reigning league MVP, Jackson tested positive for the coronavirus on Thanksgiving and has been quarantined since.

The Ravens (6-5) put Robert Griffin III on injured reserve Friday after he suffered a hamstring injury in Wednesday’s 19-14 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. That leaves Trace McSorley as the only quarterback on the active roster.

Jackson is among six players eligible to come off the list Sunday, giving him two days to prep for the Cowboys (3-8). Offensive coordinator Greg Roman said that Jackson has been “fully engaged” in virtual meetings and film work to prepare for the game.

The Ravens had 10 players remaining on the reserve/COVID-19 list after activating defensive end Calais Campbell, running back Mark Ingram II and defenseman lineman Jihad Ward on Saturday.
