Reports: Chargers trade DB King to Titans
The Tennessee Titans acquired help for their secondary on Monday, getting cornerback Desmond King from the Los Angeles Chargers in exchange for a sixth-round draft pick, multiple outlets reported.
King, 25, was named All-Pro in 2018 for the Chargers but made just three starts in six games this season, with 24 tackles and a sack. He was a fifth-round selection in 2017 out of Iowa.
In four seasons with the Chargers, King had 213 tackles, 7 1/2 sacks, two forced fumbles, four interceptions and four fumble recoveries in 53 games.
King missed Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos while tending to a personal matter and it was reported early Monday the team was looking to trade him. The Chargers have used Michael Davis as their starting left cornerback this season, with Casey Hayward Jr. at right corner.
